My name is Kelsey and I’m from Vancouver, Canada. In 2018 I moved to tiny little Luxembourg, ended up loving it, stayed, yet found myself missing one thing: the big city coffee culture! As I am passionate about doing things the right way (with integrity that is), I wanted to create a place where you can find hand sourced specialty coffee from the origin itself and artisanal/craft products made right here in Luxembourg.
At FLORENCE we focus mainly on East African varieties (the finest Rwandan and Ugandan Arabicas) and stand behind the fact that our friends who pick each and every cherry are being empowered through their work, rather than exploited. The word FLORENCE literally means “to flower” — and it is our belief that nothing can truly “flourish” without the right ingredients: supporting local, and if not local, supporting ethical practices.

SUSTAINABILITY:
FLORENCE is a project about giving back to the community, in a circular way. Towards a more sustainable future, FLORENCE is committed to sourcing 95% of its products from the EU (apart from our beans of course), with a huge emphasis on goods made by local artisans and producers in Luxembourg, or the greater Benelux region. Our specialty coffees are, however, hand-selected and roasted with love in the north of Luxembourg. Each item stocked at FLORENCE has a traceability back to nature, and better yet, back to the producer his/her self who cultivated it, hence the phrase “honest goods”.
Oh, and let’s not forget, FLORENCE is all about respecting mother nature and supports a zero waste policy! Please bring your reusable cups and containers and we will fill them up with beans and goods :)
